We currently offer basketball, volleyball, soccer and flag football officials.
A-List Sports has over one-hundred (100) certified high school varsity level officials.
Rates vary from event to event. The only way to provide you with an accurate rate is to speak or email with you to gather more information on the actual event. We do offer competitive pricing for value received.
A-List Sports takes the training of aspiring officials seriously. We employ a proven system to develop officials from the class room to the gym floor. We believe that anyone is capable of being a great basketball official, and the very best can become high school varsity level officials. Contact us using the prospective officials link for more info.
A-List Sports employs a one-of-a kind evaluation sheet which measures officials in fifty (50) individual categories. We also utilize present and former officials, not affiliated with A-List Sports, to evaluate our officials.
A-List Sports current officiating test minimum score is 90%. All officials are also required to pass a physical mechanics test, on gym floor.
Yes, we perform a background check for all officials utilized by A-List Sports. Any sexual or child related offenses, removes the individual from consideration as an A-List Sports official.
Yes! At A-List Sports we understand that you are an independent contractor, and when you are not working with us, you are free to work with other boards/associations. We do not currently compete with any of the major local boards in the DC area. We simply contact schools/organizations that do not currently have contracts in place.
Yes, we do have annual dues for our officials. These costs are currently at $140 for a single sport and $200 for multiple sports, per year (Nov 1 - Oct 31). These costs cover your DCSAA registration fee, your uniform fee (provided to you from A-List Sports) and our other administrative costs (website fees, state registration fees, etc.). When you compare our flat rate dues to the 11% and higher that the industry standard is, you will see that this is a much lower figure.
